Day 1: Boarding a direct flight to Istanbul
Day 2: Arrival in Istanbul, where you will be met by your local guide. Transfer to the hotel, rest of the day for leisure. Dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Istanbul
After breakfast, we will take a full day sight-seeing tour of this unique city, located on two continents. We will visit the St. Sophia Church, one of the most important architectural monuments of Byzantine art, the Hippodrome, a palace, where once glorious game were hosted, but also history changing riots broke out. Further, we will see the Blue Mosquethe only mosque with 6 minarets and finally the Topkapi Palace, once residence of the Sultans and center of the Ottoman Empire, where you can admire today art collections of inestimable worth. Evening for leisure, overnight as on day before.
Day 4 : Istanbul – Ankara – Cappadocia
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for a domestic flight to Ankara, upon arrival continue through the plains of Central Anatolia passing the Salt Lake to the Cappadocia region. With its bizarre forms, born of volcanoes and formed by erosion, it resembles a moon landscape. Early Christians recognized how easy buildings could be digged into soft rock. That way churches and monasteries of incredible beauty, even whole underground cities, where unto 15.000 people lived and found shelter from Arab invaders, were created. Afternoon sightseeing program in Cappadocia dinner and overnight in the area.
Day 5: Cappadocia
Full day sight seeing in the area: we will visit the Göreme valley, Avanos, Uçhisar and Zelve. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Cappadocia – Antalya
Drive through beautiful landscape and passing the impressive scenery of the Taurus Mountains, we will reach Antalya, the capital of the Turkish Mediterranean coast. Dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Antalya
After breakfast full day excursion to the main antique cities of Pamphilya: Perge, where St. Paul landed with his escort, coming from Cyprus on his first mission trip. Walk around the ruins, visiting the city gate, the stadium and theatre. Continue to Aspendos, where you will be able to admire the best-preserved antique theatre of the world. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Antalya – Pamukkale
Drive through the mountains to Pamukkale, the world – famous “Cotton Caste”, where chalk enriched waters of a hot thermal spring have formed terraces that resemble a frozen waterfall. The spa was appreciated throughout history and King Eumenes  I. of Pergamum founded Hierapolis here. A large Jewish community settled in this place, allowed Christianity to flourish here early. Dinner and overnight in Karahayit, close to the terraces.
Day 9: Pamukkale – Kusadasi
Passing Turkoman villages we will drive through the fertile landscape of the Meandros Valley to Kusadasi. Dinner and overnight.
Day 10 : Kusadasi
Full day excursion to Ephesus. Most parts of this famous city have been unerthed and reconstructed. On our walk through the ruins we will see the theatre, the Celsus Library, the Harbor and Marble Street, the Odeon and Agora. Ephesus bears also great importance in Christian history. St. Paul preached and lived here for several years. St. John lived in Ephesus until his death and is buried nearby, Mother Mary spent also the last years of her life here in the hills upon Ephesus. Drive to the House of the Virgin Mary, which has been declares as a place of Pilgrimage by the pope. Continue to the Basilica of the St. John and finally to the archeological museum. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 11 : Kusadasi – Çanakkale
After breakfast drive via Izmir to Pergamum. Visit the Acropolis with the steepest theatre of the ancient world, which offered room for 15.000 spectators. This city was also famous for having the largest library of the antique. Continue to the Asklepedion, one of the oldest medical centers in the wold. Passing the Kinik Mountains, where Paris is said to have offered the Golden Apple to Aphrodite, we will reach Troy, well known from Homer’s tales about the Troian war. Walls and a fortified tower protected the city gate and prevented the ancient Greek army to enter the city, the Greek finally builded a wooden horse with soldiers hidden inside of it. The troians took the horse inside the city thinking that it was a present. Continue to Çanakkale for dinner and overnight.
Day 12 :

Çanakkale – Istanbul
We will cross the Dardanelles by ferryboat, and drive along the shores of the Marmara Sea via Gelibolu (Gallipoli) and Tekirdag to Istanbul. Optional farewell dinner.

Day 13 : Transfer to the airport for homebound flight.
